PDX FC adds U21 Team, former Portland Timbers defender Mamadou "Futty" Danso named U21 hea
Portland, OR - PDX FC has announced the addition of a U21 team for fall 2020.
The program will focus on providing opportunities for elite players below the age of 21. Players participating in the program will also train/play alongside the PDX FC 1st team.
“We decided to introduce this program because of the demand that we had received. A lot of players are dealing with the cancellation of their fall college season and this program can help bridge the gap for them”, said PDX FC 1st team head coach, Luke Babson.
Former Portland Timbers defender, Mamadou “Futty” Danso will join the club to serve as the head coach for the new U21 team. “Futty” also brings playing experience with the Montreal Impact (MLS), Carolina Railhawks (USL), and the Gambian National Team.
The U21 program will run from Sept 22nd until the end of November. Players will train twice a week and will also compete in specific U21 team matches.
Spots for this program will fill up fast. Interested players are encouraged to send their resume to PDX FC 1st team head coach, Luke Babson at firstname.lastname@example.org
*Talented high school aged players are encouraged to apply. Players are able to join our U21 program while remaining with current club/high school teams.
