Sam Barlow High School to serve as PDX FC home stadium for 2023

March 20,2023

Sam Barlow High School, located in Gresham, OR, has been announced as the home stadium for PDX FC's men's and women's teams for the 2023 USL League 2 and W League seasons.

The new covered stadium seats 1,500 fans on the “home” side and 500 on the “visitors” side and includes a concession stand, a glassed-in, airy, two-story entrance, and press box.

"We are excited to host PDX FC matches at Sam Barlow stadium. The new facility will be great for both players and supporters", said PDX FC Technical Director, Luke Babson. "The location on the east side of town will also allow us to connect with youth players and families from our partner club, Eastside Timbers".

2023 will be the club's inaugural season fielding a women's team in the USL W League, which serves as the top pre-professional women's league in the country. The men's team will return to USL League 2, which features many soon to be professional players and MLS draft picks.

All together, the club will host 11 home matches (6 men, 5 women). The schedule includes three double headers featuring back to back men's and women's matches.

The club has signed a one year contract with Sam Barlow High School, and will explore further options for 2024 and beyond. A future return to Hilkin Community Stadium remains an option, once the new owner is able to complete the necessary permitting process for outside rentals.
